CM300 Problem - UPDATE

Post by beemare »

I have a CM300 that recently just started exhibiting a problem.

Upon power up, the screen shows "synthunl". I'm guessing this is a synthesizer out of lock issue.

1. Is this going to be a simple fix? AND
2. How much is this going to cost?

Thanks.

CM300 Question - UPDATE

Post by beemare »

I just found out that the guy who has the radio, had his whip stolen by someone while the radio was on. If he didn't realize the whip was gone, and transmitted would that have caused the synth unlock issue?

I would figure there could be an issue with the PA if that happened, but would that have caused the synth to unlock?

I would say chances are slim to none of the missing whip being the cause. As the others have said it sounds like the VCO is buggered. If it's still under warranty send it back.
