mcs 2000 audio

Post by cophamguy »

I just installed the VHF MCS 2000 in my car. It powers up fine and I had no trouble programming it (CPS R01.13.00).

Problem is even with the volume knob all the way up, the audio is so quiet I can only hear it when I put it up to my ear. I tried a speaker out of another vehicle that I KNOW works...same problem. I checked the speaker wire for low voltage. I am getting 6.xx volts into the speaker on receive. This should be plenty.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a mute function I dont know about?
