Motorola X2 TDMA trunking
Anyone out there have first hand knowledge of Motorola's new X2 TDMA trunking? I am involved with a lardge local government communications consortium and we just had a motorola presentation. Just wondering if any systems are online out there and feedback on them. thanks

None in the field that I know of, I'll check around.

There will be an LTR/Passport version of the TDMA TRBO radios coming out Q3 of 2008, I believe. It was shown on the TRBO roadmap at the Vegas expo. They have said previously there will eventually be SmartNet versions, but that will be later in '09 or possibly '10.

- What radios do you own?: Kenwood, Yaesu, ICOM, Motorola
Re: Motorola X2 TDMA trunking
I'd bet it's nothing more than a modified iDEN system with Encryption.
