Help needed in identifying a DVP KVL model

Post by patriot2666 »

I have a T3010 code inserter; I would like to find out if it’s an AX or BX type.
I understand from the manual that the interface board is of the "later type”. Does that mean BX? The label on the units back panel reads T3010BX, but i have a suspicion it’s been re-cased.
What’s the easiest way to find out? Also should the BX have socketed ICs? My chips are all soldered.
I am trying to find out so i can upgrade it for use with Jedi radios.

on the 32pin IC on the bottom board (the one that pulls away from the keypad board...

there should be an IC with a white label and (c) Motorola

post that part #, should be TVN #### if i remember right --- that'll help ID your loader.

Here are the pictures of these two boards inside the KVL.
The only IC with a white label is TRN4974A.
I hope this helps
Thanks again
