ht1250 programing

Post by fde302 »

I just got back my ht1250 from big M that had an eprom error that was fixed. They replaced a bad board so I'm told so the problem is big M used a newer cps which of I don't have to program it with. I have this radios codeplug saved on the old cps. Is there any way around this like writing to the radio with the old cps codeplug or am I out of luck. Thanks Mike

you definately need newer cps and when you get that the new cps will easily open the saved codeplug and be able to write it to the radio. you will probablly even notice that there are new options turned on and available in the radio and cps.

As you may have gathered by reading other current posts on here, there's a fixed process you have to complete in order to be able to purchase a software subscription from M. First, you have complete the license paperwork and submit to Motorola for approval. After you receive approval, you can then call them and order a subscription or order via MOL if you've established an account. The part numbers and pricing are details that you can access on the MOL site or by phone after the legal stuff is taken care of. I can tell you that the p/n for CPS for the HT1250 is HVN9025_, and a three year subscription is a little over $300.

If you're in the U.S., 800-422-4210 and then use the prompts to get to customer service.
