CDM LS programming

Post by NIFOG291 »

I am familiar with programming conventional CDM mobiles. I was asked to add channels to a LS model and I had some questions. I haven't even read the radio yet. Can I program conventional freqs along with the trunked ones? Are all the LS's 16 channel only? Is there anything I need to do with the accessory plug? Thanks.

No you cannot have trunking and conventional personalities in the same zone. You can have trunking and conventional personalities programmed in the radio but they must be assigned to separate zones.

You will be limited to a max of 18 conventional personalities.

You will not have any signalling on conventional personalities (QCII, MDC etc).

There is nothing special about the accessory connector, it functions the same for non-trunking and trunking radios.
