Saber Vehicle Adaper

Post by grizgoalie »

Good day all,

If anyone knows what is the pinout for P18 on a SVA? I need to test one and lost/forgot the pin out.

Thanks,
Jim

My 6881068C70-O SVA manual parts list only has P1 through P8 and I couldn't find P18 in the schematic. It appears there is no P18 in this early version of the manual.

From my manual it states that the power and speaker plug is called P18. Six of the eight pins are populated. When I tested before all I used was power and speaker side to ensure it worked. Does your manual have the pin out for power on xx pin and speaker on xx pin?

Your description doesn't match anything in my Saber Vehicular Adapter Instruction Manual or on my SVA hardware. The only 8 pin connector is the microphone RJ45. The power is a 4 pin connector:
pin 1 - Ground
pin 2 - Headlights
pin 3 - Ignition
pin 4 - A+

The 12 watt amplified speaker connector is 25 pins.

I have used these 4 pin and 25 pin connectors on the Astro Saber Vehicular Adapter (NTN7227B) also, by unplugging the Saber and plugging in the Astro Saber unit..

Somehow I don't think we are talking about the same equipment.

Found my old pin out.

Thanks Mike B for the help attempt but we were talking apples and oranges.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

To sum this all up it was indeed apples and oranges. I was misleading when I neglected to state that I was looking for the pin out for a MX-11496A. The Saber R version.

Sorry about that again.
