cdm1550ls+ ignition switch.

Post by dispatcher7586 »

Hello,

I clicked ignition switch in the cps and programmed it by accident. Now my radio doesnt turn on from the two prong connector in the back. Any ideas on how to fix this? If im going to have to get a switch cable or something or make one, please be specific. Thanks.

Go back into the CPS and unclick what you clicked before. Either that or find out where the ignition sense connection is on the back of the radio and feed it with 12 volts DC. Either one or the other -- your choice.

Pin #10 is the Ignition sense line.
Top row is even, bottom is odd....Looking at the plug from the back, of course.

You can also program this option as 'both' ignition and on/off button, so you can get either to work.

The radio wont turn on now. So there is no power to program it.

Sorry for the multiple post.

I mean I clicked "follow ignition only" then programmed and now it wont turn back on via the red/black power cable connected to a 12v supply.

You need to run a lead from your hot power to pin 10 on the back of the radio. Be careful, you don't want to accidently ground that lead or you might see some smoke.
