MC Series remote Q..

Post by MSS-Dave »

I need to put a remote on a XTL2500 trunked radio that has a standard headset interface like the console. Anyone know right off if any of the MC series has this ability? If not, any other ideas other than cobbling one together? I can do Tone, DC or local control with the radio adaptors I have but the desktop has to be a out of the box solution.

Thanks !

They do not...you'd have to do what you want to avoid, and cobble something together using the desk mic port, and bringing out the speaker leads to it as well.

A quick check of Zetron's site shows their 280/284 series tone remotes as having:

"Accessory audio interface port accommodates external desk mic, PTT footswitch, headset, auxiliary transmit audio, and external powered speaker"

So that might work for you.
