Hi folks.

I got an JEDI (MT2000) in my hands, which shows "TM1 ERR" after switching on. It is not readable or writable and does nothing, except continously showing this error message. Whats wrong?

Regards

I don't recall seeing that error? Is this a new radio? Or the one you changed a board on? (If I recall correct) and I see nothing on the error codes, & I have the latest copy of the Jedi manuals..unless its stuck in a test-mode, but thats a guess?

I can't find any reference to that in the manuals either. Is the radio one you've had for a while, or did someone bring it to you for service. Is it possible that's simply the channel name, and it's the only channel in the radio? Of course, that doesn't explain why there's no tx/rx or RSS communication, but you never know.

Testmode comes up with '1 CSQ'

Definitely a strange error, maybe got a controller from another country? Maybe someone tried to flash it as a MT2100, that concept has sprung up recently.

No, it is another radio. The other one still works perfect. The radio does nothing, except TM1 ERR. I also must remove the battery in order to switch it off. My first guess was Toolproofing. But the radio is too old (1993).

The radio is no more readable or writable, so no chance to play with LAB  I`m loosing my nerve, so i will replace the control-unit with an good one (i think, i still have one). The rf-board is known to be OK, so it is worth the work.
