MCS200 Mode (Channel) Steering

Post by jlemley »

Hello Group

Can anyone tell me if you can use binary channel steering on an MCS 2000?

I am trying to connect an ITA200A to the radio via the 25 pin accessory port to a 110 watt VHF mobile.

The ITA manual shows the pin-outs for the connection to the radio (conventional mode only), but the Channel Steer pins (1, 5, 8, 9, 15) shown on the chart say they are N/C or not connected.

I have done several searches both here and internet and I can’t really get a straight answer as to if the radio will do channel steering or not.

Thanks for any help

The MCS2000 is not capable of remote binary channel changing, it does not have the needed channel steering inputs.
No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.
