GR 1225 PA replacement

Post by dham66 »

I've been bouncing back and forth between old and new equipment, and am currently working with a customer that has 6 GR 1225 repeaters. I suspect one to have a bad PA, and did not realize that the RSS had a PA replacement wizard, but am unsure how to use it correctly. If anyone is knowledgeable in the use of this, I'm all ears for a crash course lesson.
Thanks

The PA replacement is aligning/adjusting the transmitter power output at many points in the band so the tx has the same power output across the band.

It is a self explanatory process. Follow the instructions on the screen. And then turn the station(s) down to 25W or less if they use it a lot to increase the lifetime of the equipment.
