Err...what would keep causing a fail loading a key? (DVP)

Post by poser »

I'm using a DVP XL loader and using 1234 1234 1234 1112 as a test key with 0001 as an ID and when I load it into a saber II with a DVP module, I get a bunch of static from the speaker, then fail. Any help?

DVP and DVP XL are NOT the same. DVP XL will load a DVP XL not a DVP module. DVP will load a DVP not a DVP XL module.

Even if I don't use the hexadecimal keys? 8-F?

They are DIFFERENT. I think I saw a DVP keyloader on Ebay the other day. Bidding was at $75 then.

Thank you! I'll try to win it. Also, do I need to turn off the PL tones in the radio program or will turning on the securenet automatically do it?

you do not need to do anything with PL - tones will be fine when operating clear, and will be ignored when you switch to secure.

What radios do you own?: Dynatac

Yes, as long as both radios are using the same algorithm and have matching keys.
