I have a someone requesting an HT1000 be programmed to beep every time they change channels using the rotary knob. I've never heard of this and after digging around the programming I couldnt find anything. Does anyone here know if it's possible? He got the idea because his iCom (or some other little company) radio does it. Thanks for any help!

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
i've never heard of that either. the only thing is last channel discovery or a solid tone on unporgrammed channels.

Active channel tones are only available while SCAN is enabled, no other way is possible through RSS.
The active channel will sound a tone, usually the PRI. channel that is selected in radio options and normally follows the channel selector.
The above scenario does not always hold true, but should you rotate the channel selector, the last active channel will beep once you stop on that channel.
