Astro Saber Programming Issue

Post by n6rdt »

I have the windows based version of Astro Saber/XTS 3000 CPS. when i connect the radio to my cable and rib set up it says its not communicating. My rib is not motorola neither is the cable. However,Another tech has used my rib and cable to program astro sabers with his CPS. So I know my cable/rib works, Could it be I have an older version of the CPS then what is in the codeplug? Or are my ports just not open? I used the CPS to open comm port 1 and 2.

The city upgraded my working dell to a newer faster dell. Now I can no longer program MCS2000 or Astro Spectras or XTS3000s. Astro 25 still works.

It is a pain to pull out my toughbook for the other software.

Before you go further, try it with Com Port 4. That is often a common setting. If you're getting a communication
error then it's not a software compatibility or similar problem.
