Yeah they are the same apart from the Jedi PSM Public Saftey Mic....we had to learn it the hard way.
We were told by Motorola that the Jedi PSM were compatible with the XTS3000 but it never worked so we had to sell over 100 Jedi PSMs for a reduced price to little businesses.

I have a radio with DVP/DES/ASTRO installed i have not been able to figure out hout to set it.
Do i need a certain encryption key or something as i have accidentally deleted it when i pressed the emergency button and another button at the same time.

Unfortunatley your right only a ASTRO signal is a 4 level FSK signal can be detected by a ASTRO signal is a 4 level FSK signal repeater and hence can only be used in conjunction with each other....the other problem will need a data-compatible repeater to repeat IMBE or Securenet ids and changing ...
