First off thank you for the help.
I do have a ACU1000 in our moble command post and it works well.
In my other job I work for a school district and my boss is looking for a way to link schools during a lock down “man with a gun” event.
The NXU unit may do what I am looking for.

Connecting sites together with Ethernet?
I am wondering if anyone has any experience tying different campus’s together over Ethernet.
We have simplex vhf radios at each campus and I want to tie them together in one system in an emergency.
We have the network now so I am looking for a bridge to tie the radio to the network.

Re: Off topic trunking question
I did try to get the brass to use CLMARS thy opted to use some of their MA radios with our cp.
I do love how I can always get a good cross section of options when I ask a question.
Thank you for all of the info and I well look into a MA/Com cable just incase.

Re: Off topic trunking question
Our county fire agencies have their act together. We share some BK cashes and it works well.
We don’t have time when we get activated to call a coms. guy from some other agency. We can go any ware in California on short notice. I was just wondering how hard it might be to make some code plugs for my ...

Saber new personality
I wanted another opinion so hear goes.
I have a saber I that is programmed in the 155 area. My agency has added more channels so I found a deal on a saber II but it is in the lower split that ends at 150.
Can I just swap out the modules and load a new personality.
Or do I make a new personality hex ...

It sounds like you are using one channel Dot frequencies (SP10). Are you planning to up grade? If so that may drive your decision. My paying job is for a school district and we use SP 50s at our site that has a repeater. We use sp10s at most others. Administrators always lose radios and I would hate ...

700 megahertz?
Just heard my agency is planning to go to 700 megahertz in the next five years. Has any one had a similar experience lately?
I seam to recall a nationwide push to do this.
I haven’t heard what mode or any other details.

I didn’t mean to sound like a b#** head. When I see the ANI reference I got confused. ANI does not have a database it speaks the number you are dialing from.

I have a Saber I secure capable submersible that someone had tried to pry off the knobs.(not me)
After the black outer knob broke they super glued them together. Last night they fell apart.
1.Do I have to replace the whole knob?
2. Are they available from Motorola?
3. How are they replaced
