Hi Tom,
Could you tell me your VX-900 UHF is which model ? AS1 model (403Mhz-430Mhz) or the D model (450Mhz-490Mhz) or F Model (485Mhz-512Mhz) ?
I am going to buy AS1 model and if the radio can program up to 437Mhz and can TX/RX ,it is enough for me.

VERTEX VX-900 UHF

My VX-900UHF is USA1 model (400Mhz to 430Mhz)with LCD and 16 Keypad.
I also want to use the 430Mhz to 437Mhz for TX and RX in HAM BAND.
Does anyone try to programming up to 437Mhz with CE39 RSS ?

Mic for AS3

My friend gave me a GP-38 Mic HMN9030A and I am going to modify it for my AS3 use.
I cut the HMN9030A 3.5 & 2.5 connector and connect 4 cable into the connector parts, however, only the Speaker wroking normal but I can not use the PPT from the HMN9030A.
I opened the HMN9030A and compare with the AS3 ...

I have a Astro Saber 3 VHF and I reprogram the frequency between 144mhz to 146mhz.
I use the Motorola original ANT (Yellow color in the ANT Bottom).
I found out in 145Mhz Receiving the Radio signal is breaking but my another Saber III VHF (not Astro Saber) receiving very good.

Thanks all of you value information.
First, the radio never dropped however, it is a used Radio.
Second, my Radio only have 5D core, in my RSS R07. 6D have MIC Volume/Gain Control but my radio could not upgrade to 6D.
Is it mean if I UNCHOOSE some function from RSS will let my RADIO MIC ...

I have already program below 145Mhz into my Radio (can Tx/Rx start from 144Mhz).
I write the all 144Mhz which use Hex mode into the Codplug File.
It is working fine.

My Radio is H33QXK7139CN have 5D Cord & 5C Cope (I read from the RSS R07).
Regarding the model breakdown the freq. range is 136-174mhz.
However, while I creat a new code plug and chose the right model no. same as above it show me only 146-174. besides I could not program the frequency below 145Mhz ...

First of all, Thank you very much Elroy Jetson modified my message cause of my foolish.
Second, I have already modified my ODB file down from 430Mhz. I have not use another Code plug just only change the 450 to 430.
It seems works because I can received signal from my another UHF Radio and Astro ...

Just place an inforamtion in here but I believe all Astro users know it or did it.
I modified the ASTROP.ODB file and I change the band split from 450-512 to 430-512.
I can TX& RX in 430Mhz without any problem.
However, I did not know the VCO working fine in 430Mhz it because I have not any ...

There is a function in the RSS [Upgrade Radio Codeplug] but I am not sure what will happens so I have not doing upgrade.

While I switch on my Radio the display show ERROR 09.
Then I press [DATA] button it shows [LCD TEST], while I press [Home] show [KEY TEST].
then show [06 01 -- --]
I do not know what happens and the LCD display Light is flashing then stop.

Really, but could you tell me it only works in MSDOS mode or IBMDOS mode and doesn't work in Windows 9x, NT and Win2K. Because I found in some Web site that show the OS is only for DOS and runing in 486 computer etc.
