- What radios do you own?: Progreso soup can with CRT
Once upon a time I would "buy" coordination for UHF through the LAO in Gettysburg. We wanted simplex, non-itinerant, 460.XXX frequencies, for paging and FM voice and--guess what--we got the frequencies, but everybody and his brother was on the same channels IN THE SAME AREA!!! (This was for nursing homes and retirement facilities in the DC/MD/VA metro area.) To this day I can't understand why we had to pay a coordination fee and, in effect, you can see what a ripoff it was.

Catawba911, I think there is a guy in our area that will do freq. coordination for around $200. Another thing I would try is to go to the Catawba Co. communications director (I know the one in Burke Co. but not Catawba) and see if there are some old tac channels that y'all could use.
