Coordination,No matter how you look at it is a complete joke and a waste of $$..

It's easier to get illegal drugs, or even to get a gun in the ghetto than it is for a fire department to get liscenced for uhf.

Coordination is a must. Expect to pay $300-$650 for each channel. This includes all fees.

Once upon a time I would "buy" coordination for UHF through the LAO in Gettysburg. We wanted simplex, non-itinerant, 460.XXX frequencies, for paging and FM voice and--guess what--we got the frequencies, but everybody and his brother was on the same channels IN THE SAME AREA!!! (This was for nursing homes and retirement facilities in the DC/MD/VA metro area.) To this day I can't understand why we had to pay a coordination fee and, in effect, you can see what a ripoff it was.

Catawba911, I think there is a guy in our area that will do freq. coordination for around $200. Another thing I would try is to go to the Catawba Co. communications director (I know the one in Burke Co. but not Catawba) and see if there are some old tac channels that y'all could use.
