SG,
Just wondering what those credentials might be? Prior to the Clinton administration, in my "previous life", I could carry onboard aircraft as well. Pre-boarding is always nice.

I'm no longer in FLE so, I could be wrong but, it was my understanding that the Clinton administration decided that there was no need for anyone, FLE or not, to carry onboard commercial aircraft and implemented policy that prevented such.
Perhaps this policy has changed once again since 9/11/01 but, I would think that my understanding of the Clinton "all guns are bad guns" policy was correct. Otherwise, how do we explain the 15-some-odd FLEOs who were onboard the hijacked airliners not using them. Granted, not 100% of the people authorized to carry onboard did so when I was in but. I would think that at least 1 out of 15 would have and GUN trumps boxcutter all day long, every day of the week!
Just currious,
John
