Its a low split UHF radio 403-470mhz sometimes refered to as the government split. The only way to tell the RSS version it to read the radio and if you get the message "codeplug to new for this application" it means you need a later RSS version. In short there is no way to tell.

Some radios had fallen in the hands of the enemy just prior to the Olympics hence reprograming with the SP software from what I understand. Who are the enemy I hear you ask, F@#%ED if I know.

Mr Syntrx,

The Samsung "SORN" (Sydney Olympic Radio Network) XTS3000's are just rebadged Motorola XTS3000's. The reason that the are Samsung badged is because Samsung were the "official" communications provider for the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Some of these radios were programed with "SP" software ...

1meg or 512k? In service mode it shows neither, but the board appears to be 512k comparing it with some other boards I have here.

Astro Saber III VHF Strange but true.

Yes this is strange but true, I'm after a Astro Saber III VHF codeplug. With conventional analog only . This is for and old VSELP ASIII. It currently has a IMBE codeplug (in it when I got it) 581008-0C1800-8 but this is causing a few issues and would dearly love a VSELP or Conventional only code ...

Using a Visar VHF antenna on a Jedi series raido.

Is anyone aware of problems with killing the PA in a Jedi series VHF portable due to high VSWR when using the Visar VHF 5" helical antenna part # 8505834W01 or 8505834W02, either on the radio or a public safety mic.

The MTS2000 will not do MPT1327 trunking and they can not be converted, the radio you need is a PTX1200 or PTX600 UHF or VHF to use with fleet comms MPT1327 trunking in Australia. The PTX1200 looks identical to the MTS2000 except for different characters on the keypad.

Need a P/N for antenna Dust cap Jedi series

I have searched high and low. I am looking for the antenna dust cover for a MTS2000. I use a public safety mic. I want to cover the antenna on the radio body. Anyone out there know the P/N or have a spare floating around. I will pay a reasonable price.

Thanks Craig

XTS3000 Voting Scan

I'm in need of some help in programing the Voting Scan in my XTS3000. I have programed 12 voting lists with auto scan, and one conventional scan list in to the radio. Is there something in the RSS I have missed? As I can't get the voting scan to work.
Any help with this would be appreciated ...
