Ht1550 CMOS problem

Have a HT1550 that had gotten wet. not dropped in water wet. just out on my belt in the rain wet. but stopped working. now it reads cmos error. able to read and write to the radio with software. it will receive sometimes. but will not transmit. what am I looking at for repair? any suggestions??

Motorola HT1250 Button programming

Question for you all... i worked somewhere that had HT1250s. the bottom button was programmed as short press repeater/direct. but long press would let you change the PL for the selected channel. how is this done? cant find it anywhere in the options. thanks for any help

I have a Non-DTMF, Non-display P1225. I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade this radio to have both. I have done this with a Visar before, but was not sure about the P1225s. Any hints, suggestions, or part numbers would be great. Thanks!!!

Just another quick one. do I have to do anything with the Boot Control lead? I tried this briefly and got the error of no rib power. And since it's ribless....Looking at the RJ45 plug with cord to the left and tab facing me I have 4 leads.

1 - empty
2 - orange
3 - empty
4 - empty
5 – white – Ground ...

So here is my next question. if it works with those radios, i should be able to make an "adapter" to program a P1225 as well correct? should be able to just use the ground and data leads off the RJ45 plug? anyone tried this yet? would kinda be nice if this all does work..weed out some of the cables ...

I have a Motorola OEM ribless cable to program a CDM. Will it also work with a Maxtrac? don't want to plug it in and blow something up...just curious if somelse has already tried it.

I prefer the MT-1000 for portable and the Syntor X9000 for a mobile. The MT-1000 is a very durable radio and has a descent amount of options including user scan and QCII. Unless you plan on getting the rest of the parts and spending a small fortune. better off selling it on e-bay and buying yourself a nice rackmount clock (if thats what your looking for) and a couple of speakers. these things are not the easiest to "play around with"

For VHF
Multiply the frequency stamped on the Motorola crystal by 3.
Then add 17.9.

is this correct?
if so what is the formula for UHF and low band?
