I am not sure what the regulations are like in the UK, but when they said it was their frequncy, they may have been saying that they were licenced to use that frequency and you are not. I would check you local regulations to see if it is legal to use your radio on a frequency that they are licenced ...

I do not belevie that you can set up more that one scan bank on the convensional Visors. I have to program one this morning and will take a look at the RSS to be sure.

Thanks. I only need a few functions and space in this install is tight. A& would be greate but I have never changed a code plug. Would need to get an A7 head and then an A& code plug, correct?

Can the A5 head be programed to run the PA/siren feature? The RSS seams to allow it? Or is a DEK needed.

How is the speaker held onto the flex on the visar. I have no audio from the internal speaker but do have audio when a mic is attached. The speker appears loose, but I can see no soder joints to the speaker?

A progam that last only 20 min. My luck I would be in the middle of loading a code plug. Just buy a cheap old computer, you can get what you need for $10.

The computer is a 486 laptop running at 100. It has a hard drive and runs window 95. I use a 6.22 boot disk to bring it into DOS. I just can get to the C: prompt.

Two issues that you might use in your favor. One is HIPPA. the other is Medicare and Medicaid. In the later no one can sell , buy or charge for the referal of Medicare and Meidicaid Patients. Now they can say that they are charging for a service, but hen hey would have to justify the charge.

Sorry of a newbee question, but I figured I could get is answered from this board. I have a used Visar that seems to have a slight audio problem. The audio soulds just off a little and kinda tinny. I have use the speaker mic, and it is still the same. Is there some allinement that needs to be done ...
