Just seeing if anyone had some experience in upgrading firmware on Astro Tac/Quantar via the RSS Option.
I can see its done via a firmware file in CPS Rss but do you require anything special like a diff firmware chip.

thats a 1st M creating a simple part number for a number of items,
i know w series mobils have the front housing and interconnect boards as different numbers.

Just upgraded to Ver 10 mobil and portable (XTS5000 XTL5000) and found that it came up with the missing DLL

I have a few spectras and i need to lower the sql level.
I hear a signal when i drop the level when holding my mon button down,
but as soon as i go back to sql level one i hear nothing,

I would be keen to get the funky little Signal meter happening on the screen which displays when you power up.
similar to the Ht 1250 type series where your rx signal strength is diplayed in a bar graph,

I had a uhf Range 2 (435-475) working on 488 mhz
worked fine there so i guess it should be fine for you to run it on 433 - 434
