Guy's as it say's, it's an ASTRO Covert. It's a basic XTS3000 with minimum controls and no external audio. Used with an external surveillance set. Hard to find and good to have!

I emailed Jeff regarding the auction, he reports that the HHCH has a PLN????? part number but wont be more specific and the AVA is the already listed on Bat LabsNTN7227BSP01 version.

It may be a Euro only mic? I'm from Australia and have seen them here but had no luck when I called M Aust to order.

You think you have problems with M in the US you should speak to the monkeys here!

I know the PA (110 watt) supports the range change and heard that this may be the only split on an ASTRO Spectra that can be changed without much trouble (something about an "SP" version with this type of mod for the DOJ).

Hi,

The radio is programmed to support an encryption module but you don't seem to have one in the radio? If you did your own programming it would only take a second to fix.

Does anyone have any info on Motorola's proprietary key transfer protocol used in their Key Variable Loader's? I've read through the FIPS doc's but it's to generic with nothing specific to M's Protocol just the standards.
